With all the cafes and homes decked out in bricks and concrete walls, it's safe to say that industrial spaces are having a moment this year. This style is one of the easiest looks to maintain and it's perfect for modern homes and condos, too. Wood and concrete are the materials that are commonly seen in industrial-style interiors—but today, we're going to focus on the latter. If you're thinking about going for this look, let these spaces help you appreciate cement walls and floors often left bare:

If you want to play up the gray tones of concrete, consider going for a monochromatic look using other charcoal accessories. To keep it from looking too flat, add depth by experimenting with different shades.

RL Tip: Don’t forget to add soft accessories! Balance the predominantly masculine look with throws, pillows and thick rugs. These elements can make your home feel more welcoming.

Who says kitchens always have to be stark white? Give your breakfast bar a homey and moody ambiance with darker hues. Add a boost of warmth by adding a few quirky planters and lighting up scented candles (it keeps the cooking odors under control, too!).

RL Tip: Display your collection. In any home, showcasing your collections—may they be vintage toys or framed prints—instantly add personality. Use them to create vignettes in your kitchen for a cozy vibe. For industrial-friendly accessories, check out Home Cartel.

If an all-concrete home is too drastic for you, soften the look by mixing it up with other materials. An accent wall made from wood panels is sure to give your home much-needed rustic-industrial charm.

RL Tip: Use different finishes to keep your home from looking monotonous. Keep it playful by mixing it up with steel and fabric elements. No time to install an actual wooden wall? Click here

For a more unique touch, try creating your own DIY industrial-style furniture. This beautiful console is simply made from old wire mesh and a slab of concrete. No time to make your own pieces? Check out the industrial-modern furnishings at Dekko

RL Tip: You can also use repurposed or upcycled furniture. Pieces made from scrap materials add character to an industrial-style home. Not only that, it makes for great conversation pieces as well.

Achieve an indoor-outdoor bathroom without really having to build a bath outside your house with a concrete tub. Complement it with rough finish tiles, black accessories and metallic hardware to complete the look.
