When Katrin Nunez and Raul Galang invested in two units in Makati, they asked Honey Mutia and Rosa Manduriao of Desaurum Co. Interiors to be in charge of the interior design.

To create more space for the young couple, the first order of business was to combine the two units. Now that they had 48 square meters to work with, Honey and Rosa furnished the newly renovated one-bedroom condo with classic and timeless pieces in white, blue, and silver.

If you like the luxurious feel of this high-rise haven as much as we do, check out these 5 tips and tricks inspired by this cozy and comfortable home for two:

Choose a cool white-blue-and-silver color scheme

If you want to decorate your own home, you can start by selecting a color scheme. This will help you choose building materials, furniture pieces, and decorative finds.

For this one-bedroom condo, Honey and Rosa opted for a white-blue-and-silver theme. The white walls and furniture pieces are complemented with blue and silver decor.

Turn the TV stand into a focal point

We think that you can dramatically improve your living area by simply replacing your old TV stand! For a chic and stylish space, you can invest in a the best table or cabinet that you can afford.

Opt for good building materials

Many condo units have frustratingly small and narrow kitchens. If you also have a one-wall kitchen, you may want to replace the standard-issue fixtures that many property developers use.

For example, you can also put in a new stainless-steel mosaic tile backsplash and a black granite countertop.

RL Tip: No time or money for a full-blown renovation? You can also spruce up your kitchen by letting go of your plastic dish rack and faded hand towels.

Look for decorative pieces

Another way to make the most of a small place is to simply bring in a few handpicked pieces. Pendant lamps, sunburst wall decor, and other tiny finds can brighten up a teeny-tiny corner.

For example, Honey and Rosa spruced up the dining area with modern pendant lamps. The hallway that connects the dining area to the master bedroom is adorned with sunburst wall decor and framed family photos.

Say yes to a good bed

If you don't have space for too many things, then you might as well purchase something that you really want. Instead of making do with a plain bed frame, you may want to invest in a fully upholstered bed frame with a nailhead trim.

RL Tip: You can also look for a charming daybed or a luxurious four-poster bed.
