1. Shop for furniture and accessories by Danish brand HAY.
From their first concept store-in-store in Ortigas, the famous brand now has a new home—with a wider selection of pieces—all promising quality and an aesthetic that can blend with any interior style. Although known for its Scandinavian appeal, clean lines, and contemporary look, HAY also brings forward versatility as seen in its furniture and accessories. "The pieces are suited to most interior design concepts," shares Joseph Tay, managing director of HAY.

Occupying almost half of the space at Design Story, Stellar Works started in 2008—initially offering pieces to the hospitality market. The brand soon grew and after three years, it was launched as a designers' collection brand. The rest, as they say, is history. Aside from catering to an international market, it also supports and promotes different cultures and takes on design.
“It celebrates the poetry of Japanese aesthetics, the richness of Chinese ornamentation, the playfulness of Italian design, the refinement of French luxury, and the democratic values of Scandinavian living,” shares Dana Uy, managing director of Design Story.
True enough, you can marvel at the craftsmanship of a Japanese-inspired lantern floor lamp at one turn then at the beauty of Scandinavian-inspired seating pieces a few minutes after—it's like going on an adventure around the world!

3. Find pieces that speak of your personality.
Our homes should reflect our lifestyle, favorites, and the things we love. At Design Story, you have the freedom to choose items that would complete your own tale. Whether you're completing a new house or sprucing up a tiny corner, you'll find a piece to take home at the store.

4. Score must-haves that can fit in big or small spaces.
Shopping for furniture requires extra effort as you need to measure areas and check the dimensions of the piece you're eyeing. A chair can look lost in a living area, while a table may end up being too wide for a compact dining nook. Both HAY and Stellar Works have pieces that can fit in condo units, townhouses, and multi-storey homes. Take your time and feel free to talk to store attendants if you have questions.

5. It brings international favorites closer to home.
When HAY first opened a showroom in Manila, a lot were excited as they no longer had to order the pieces they want from abroad. At Design Story, famous collections, iconic chairs, and even sought-after accessories can be yours minus months of waiting. Simply drop by the showroom, check out the pieces, and make a final decision as to which piece will complete your home's narrative.
