4 More Space-Saving Tricks that You Can Do

Live large in a small space with these helpful tips

To be able to live comfortably in a small home, we need to define areas properly while maximizing its space and function.

While it may be challenging sometimes, a limited floor space can only make us even more creative and resourceful. Here are small space hacks that may just come in handy as you work around your cozy home.

Consider having dividers

Separating areas in a small unit like a one-bedroom condo is not easy. While you can always use rugs and curtains, you may also use dividers to make distinct divisions between the spaces. These dividers can provide privacy as well.

Opt for light colors

Light colors visually enhance any area. Try painting your walls with beige or lemon chiffon, then finish the look with bright colored accessories like printed throw pillows and textured rugs.

Use the space under the stairs

Maximize the empty space with a couple of ideas. You can transform it into a cozy nook where you can relax and read a good book. Just add a couch in the middle and proper lighting fixtures.

If you're planning to add more storage options, you can place a small cabinet with drawers under the stairs. You can use it to store shoes, slippers, and other essentials.

Build a one-wall kitchen

A one-wall kitchen is ideal for a small unit as it places all three work centers on one counter. Keep in mind that the work centers must never be placed directly beside one another so you can still have free countertop space between them.
