It's safe to say that no design-loving homeowner wants to put cords, wires and switches on display. However, when you're short on space and you have a minimal budget, you're forced to place these in inconvenient locations. Don’t worry, you don't have to leave it that way—all you need to do is get creative and you can hide all these things from plain sight! Check out some ideas from real homes below:

The fuse box is one of the most common eyesores at home. To make sure it doesn't take away from the beauty of your decor, consider concealing it behind the wallpaper, like how decorator Grace Moslares disguised it in this studio. You can choose a design that is not too busy so as not to draw more attention to the box.

If murals are more your speed, you can try painting over your fuse box with an eye-catching masterpiece. In this home, Jayson Bongat of Magara Designs painted a stunning floral detail to hide the box.

You can always hang art over it to hide your fuse box. In this home, you'd have no idea this wood palette frame was a fuse box as it seamlessly blends in with the rest of the gallery wall in this condo unit by Kristine Neri-Magturo.

Can you spot where the AC condenser is in this photo? It's concealed by the window seat! These machines are big, bulky and it can take up space in your home so it's a great idea to make sure it is hidden away somewhere that won't disturb your main living space.

If you don't have room for a window seat in your home, you can look upward and maximize your window instead. If you want to go the extra mile to cover it, you can add a drywall cove to add depth keep the curtain rod out of sight, like how Kristine Neri disguised the curtain works here.
