4 Living Areas Perfect for Lazy Sunday Afternoons

Why think about Monday when you can relax and enjoy the comfort of your home?

Yes, another weekend is almost over and before we know it, our alarm clocks are buzzing and it’s time to soldier on and get ready for work. Instead of dwelling on this undeniable fact, we should at least enjoy this day to the fullest. Spend time with family, read a book, catch up on a TV show, and most importantly, forget all your worries.

Shake off the blues and let these cozy spaces inspire you to let loose and take a well-deserved rest:

When was the last time you actually sat down and read a novel that’s been on your shelf for months? Prep the sofa, fluff the pillows, and get cozy with your chosen book.

In this 43sqm unit designed by interior designer Ruby Besira, we loved the adjustable wall lamp by the couch in the living area. This is a perfect must-have as the owner can simply adjust the light without a fuss.

Weekends are best spend with loved ones—catching up on life events, happenings, and even having relatives over for lunch or dinner. Prep the living area by decluttering it and preparing extra pillows for everyone.

What makes this living area extra special? The neutral tones complete the ambiance of the space and with sunlight streaming through the windows, it is transformed into a bright and inviting nook—just the right place for quality time with family.

On weekdays, we seldom have time for our favorite series and movies. Turn your living area into a makeshift movie house by sprucing up the sofa with throws, sheets, and pillows. Gather the family for a marathon—complete with snacks and drinks.

Who wouldn’t love the floor-to-ceiling windows in this living area found in a 132sqm condo in Antipolo? The owner can enjoy a view of the surroundings and if a movie or show is on, she can simply draw down the blinds to set the mood.

Do you have a favorite drink that you love having during afternoons? There are some who love cold refreshments, a few who’d rather have coffee, and some who love tea. What better way to enjoy tea or any drink than in a living area that’s reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland?

In this Shabby Chic-inspired haven, the interior designer chose to pair the charming blue walls with quirky wall prints and a printed sofa that adds character to the space. Each element adds to the fairy tale-like vibe of the home.
