What are the things that can make you happy? Many of us look forward to sleeping in after a late night, indulging in a slice of chocolate cake, or even opening a brand new book. Some of us, including homeowner Tristan Sintos, also love to furnish, decorate, and improve our personal spaces.

To turn his three-bedroom unit into his dream home, Tristan patiently looked for design pegs and went to a lot of furniture stores around the metro. If you like this modern Scandinavian-inspired home as much as we do, you may want to check out these interesting ideas based on this bachelor pad:

Purchase stools

You can start by picking out a pair of stools for the entrance of your home. These will come in handy when you are entertaining family, friends, and other guests. You can also use these to store your favorite reading materials and personal belongings.

RL Tip: You can find similar seats at Space Encounters (Unit B Mezzanine, Padilla Bldg., F. Ortigas Jr., Ortigas Center, Pasig City).

Choose subway tiles

Are you still building or renovating your home? You may want to select subway tiles for your own kitchen! Subway tiles can make your personal space look clean, sleek, and streamlined.

RL Tip: You may want to pair white tiles with white cabinets, stainless steel fixtures and appliances, and black foor tiles.

Invest in the dining area

If you like to invite your loved ones over, you may want to carefully furnish your dining area! Since guests gather and spend a lot of time in this place, an eye-catching pendant lamp, a sturdy dining table, and comfortable dining chairs are musts.

Choose a black-gray-and-white palette

How can you make an ordinary space seem cool and stylish? You can begin with black, gray, and white materials and furniture pieces! Keeping this particular color palette in mind will make it easier for you to choose the best items for your place.

RL Tip: Just like this homeowner, you can also replace an ordinary sofa with a nifty sofa bed! This provides an extra bed for a guest or two to sleep on.

Create a minimalist kiddie room

Although it may be tempting to choose cartoon-print wallpaper and vibrant paint choices for your kiddie room, you may want to opt for classic white walls and neutral-hued furniture pieces. You can add color and charm with soft furnishings that can easily be replaced.
