Whether you enjoy brewing your own batch or you buy ready-to-drink coffee, it's safe to say that every household produces copious amounts of grounds and it would be terrible to let it all go to waste. If you're looking to repurpose leftovers, you'd be happy to know that it can be used for a variety of cleaning and gardening tasks, too.  Check out how you can make the most of your coffee beans below:

1. Ditch the toxic abrasive cleaners for cookware and use a handful of coffee grounds to scrub off burnt spots instead. Wash pots and pans as you normally would afterwards.

2. For an instant deodorizer, leave a plate of coffee grounds out to absorb odors in rooms that have unpleasant scents.

3. Do you have a mosquito problem in your home? These little critters hate the smell of coffee. Set some beans on a tray, ignite a small flame at the center and burn it like you would incense.

4. Coffee grounds can be used as natural fertilizers, too! Coffee is filled with acid and nitrogen which can boost your compost pit. For a quicker solution, you can also mix the beans with water then use that to water the plants.

5. If slugs and snails keep ruining your garden, sprinkle some coffee grounds on the soil. Both the smell and the abrasive surface help keep these pests out of the garden.
