5 Home Libraries that Give Us Serious #shelfgoals
Create a special place for your prized book collection
If you’re a bookworm, I’m sure you’d want to have a special place at home where you can simply sit on a chair, take a breather, and admire the shelves of books around you. As a bookworm myself, I’ve always imagined my dream home to have a spacious library with comfy seats and shelves that reach up to the ceiling. If you also find complete and utter joy in collecting books, I’m guessing that you’re wishing for something similar too.
To inspire you to plan your cozy book haven, here are five home libraries that are perfect as pegs:
Your bedroom can also serve as your home library. Choose shelves that can take up the walls of the room and as much as possible, stick to one color. Complete your reading sanctuary by placing a comfy chair by the bed.
If your home is gifted with high ceilings, you can always liven up with floor-to-ceiling shelves! Just make sure you have stairs or a ladder that can help you reach your favorite read.
This one-of-a-kind stairway library was custom-made using Lundia shelves.
An extra room can be transformed into a library and home office in one. Furnish it with desks, chairs, and even a sofa to make it ideal for work or school deadlines. Make sure that the area is well-lit so you can work on your deliverables with ease.
If you're sharing your book collection with a sibling, you can keep the space laid-back by simply adding a sofa, a few pillows, and extra storage for other knickknacks.
Let your books do the talking by keeping the space open and furnished only with a sofa and a table with a lamp. After all, the books are the stars of the show. If you have huge windows in the room, you can maximize natural light by keep it open and choose light-colored curtains.
