These ideas perfectly combine function and style
When decluttering our space, we always end up with a huge pile of things we don't need anymore. Aside from clothes and knickknacks, we also get to rediscover furniture that are on their last leg.
One thing that we always seem to find are old storage units like dressers. Before deciding to chuck it in the trash, why not consider repurposing them? After all, these pieces can be used for so much more than holding socks and t-shirts. To help you think out of the box, we've listed down five fun projects that you can try:

If you happen to find more than one unused chest, you can replace all of the drawers with pieces in varying color and size to give it a new look, but with a more vintage feel. When building your dresser, make sure to double check that it is sturdy enough to hold all your belongings.

Show your furry friends some love by building them a new bed. Start by cutting off the top drawers and keeping the base of the dresser. You can also add a few fluffy pillows to make it more comfortable for your pet!
RL Tip: If you want to give it height, try adding legs using scraps of wood that you removed.

If you struggle with having to untangle your accessories all the time, try making a jewelry hanger. To give it extra flare, use spray paint to add color and texture at the same time. You can also line it with printed fabric and simple adhesive.
RL Tip: Measure what you want to hang before pre-drilling holes for your hooks so that you are assured that everything will fit your frame.

For extra closet space, skip buying store-bought bins and use drawers as under-the-bed storage. Simply attach a couple of caster wheels under each so that you can move it around with ease.

Give ordinary clay pots a rest and replace it with crates! They give flower displays a touch of fun without sacrificing elegance. Experiment with painting them with a bright shade for a pop of color or keeping it as is for a shabby chic feel.
