Maximize the available space

How does your outdoor nook look like? Do you see an unused corner? Interior designer Anla Li-Tan suggests that you utilize the space. “Create a conversation area with seating arrangement to make use of the dead spaces in a garden or balcony,” she shares.

RL Tip: Choose sturdy but comfortable furniture pieces that you can use for lounging around. It can even serve as your reading corner.

Deal with hard-to-maintain grasses

Keep the outdoor area lovely with the help of tiles and planter boxes. “For hard-to-maintain grasses, you may choose to cover the garden area with cement or outdoor tiles, and add planter boxes around the walls,” Anla shares.
