5 Easy Organization Ideas For Your Sunglasses

Keep them smudge and scratch-free all year round!


Sunglasses, like bags and shoes, are must-have accessories that people love to collect. From department store finds to high-end frames that cost an arm and a leg, it's impossible to run out of options for pieces that will protect our eyes from the sun. In order to help you keep them in mint condition, we've gathered a few storage ideas from the Web that can keep your pairs of glasses from breaking:

1. Repurpose an old shutter window. 

Before throwing out old or unused shutters, try turning it into an organization system for your sunglasses. Depending on the size of the wood frame, you'll be able to store quite a lot of pairs on it. This type of display can add a rustic touch to your room, too! 

RL Tip: Feel free to choose whether to hang it with hooks or propping it up against the wall on your vanity!  

2. Use a fruit and vegetable hanger.

If you have one of these produce organizers lying around, consider using one of them to create a storage system for your sunnies. You can hang it in a bare corner in your closet or bedroom and let it serve as a conversation piece! 

3. Get creative with a standard hanger. 

The best part about this tip? You don't have to spend a dime to achieve it! Simply grab one of your extra hangers for laundry and wrap a scarf around it—aside from making your display look cute, it keeps your sunglasses from slipping, too! 

4. Upcycle a bicycle wheel. 

If you love out-of-the-box displays, you'll love this idea. All you have to do is take a trip to the junk shop and find an old bike wheel! Keep it as is for an industrial look or paint it aqua for a shabby chic twist! 

5. Use a spare cutlery tray

Not into the idea of hanging your precious specs? Protect them from scratches by storing them in a cutlery tray which is usually lined with soft fabric.
