It's safe to say that everyone who goes on a trip to Tagaytay makes a stop at Bag of Beans. From tourists to returning diners or even locals, this coffee shop-slash-restaurant never fails to be a hit because of the good food, cozy ambiance, Instagram-worthy nooks and most of all, the one-of-a-kind design of the place. A combination of Shabby Chic, maximalist and rustic, it's no surprise that this must-visit spot in the South is a gold mine of styling ideas. Here are a few of our favorites tricks:

1. Turn trash into treasure.

Do you have a lot of glass bottles in your recycling bin? Before you send them sliding down the trash chute, consider turning them into decor for your hanging garden. Tint them in different colors and tie bundles together for an interesting display.

2. Don't hesitate to use everyday items as decor.

Not all home accessories have to be store-bought! With a little creativity and the right styling tricks, anything can be turned into a statement piece. Add a vintage touch to your living area by using antique suitcases as a canvas for your vignette (as seen in photo.)

3. Sometimes, more is more.

Do you love bold prints, patterns, and collections? Go ahead and dress up your home in it! While minimalist homes can look refreshing, nothing beats the impact a maximalist space makes. However, it's best to stick to a single color scheme to keep the look sleek.

4. Mix and match your Machuca tiles!

If you're giving your floors an upgrade, veer away from choosing a single design and go for three or four looks instead. It's a sure-fire way to wake up a dull space and it's an instant accent to your decor, too!

5. Commit to a theme.

It's either you go all out with a style or you don't go for it at all—there is no in between. Haphazard motifs tend to make a space look undone so make sure every display is well-thought-out and that each detail is executed properly.
