5 Beds That Make A Statement
They're made more than just for sleeping!
At the end of a long day of work, wouldn’t it be better to climb onto a bed that is so you? Get inspired by these unique sleeping spaces to make your bed your own style statement:
1. Cocoon yourself in a canopy.
Canopied beds aren’t just for little girls. Homeowner and GMA News TV head Nessa Valdellon created a quiet sleeping haven using a canopy. It also helped her define her sleeping space from the rest of her unit.
2. Place your bed against an accent wall.
Don’t have a headboard? Create a bold accent wall. Interior designer Kimi Manuel did just that in this bedroom. The big chevron prints add enough oomph to the bedroom so it packs a lot of statement even if it’s small.
3. Go all out on bright colors.
Interior designer Kristine Neri-Magturo created a sweet haven for a cheerful girl. Kristine used raspberry-hued stripes to bring out the girl’s personality and toned down the look using white cabinetry in the study corner.
4. Mix both bold colors and patterns in your bed.
The eggplant-hued headboard makes for a great focal point in this bedroom, while the printed pillows and beddings add an equally strong complement to the bold hue. The sunburst mirror is a welcome addition.
5. Pepper your bedroom with quirky details.
The DIY elements in this bedroom make it one-of-a-kind. The wall art draws attention because of its doodle-like look, while the luggage-turned-side-table adds a vintage charm. Pillows in various prints complete the quirky look. And despite the abundance of various details, this sleeping space is far from looking visually busy thanks to its black-and-white color scheme.
