Cleaning the bathroom is a task a lot of homeowners are guilty of postponing—and we're guilty, too. After all, ridding showers, bathtubs, toilets and sinks of dirt takes time and elbow grease. However, at the end of the day, it's essential to accomplish this task, otherwise the T&B will breed germs and foul odors. To help you get through it quickly and efficiently, we've put together a list of the best scrubbing tips and cleaning products:

1. Before scrubbing anything, dust the space first.

Grab your feather duster or a damp washcloth to remove any cobwebs in corners, dirt on light fixtures, surfaces or in vents. Once done, sweep or vacuum the floors to pick up hair and other debris that may have been left behind.

2. Use all-natural cleaners.

Sometimes, harsh and chemical-based cleaners can cause more harm than good. Avoid discoloration and staining by using gentle detergents and all-purpose solutions instead.

3. Use an electric brush to scrub the floors and countertops.

While using a manual brush works, it might be a good idea to step it up a notch with an electric brush. This one from Lazada has interchangeable heads which you can use to clean hard-to-reach corners.

4. Invest in odor absorbers.

You know what they say—prevention is better than cure. Instead of trying to get rid of odor with strong air fresheners, absorb the funk away with these filters from Messy Bessy. The best part? It will leave your bathroom smelling lemon-y fresh, too!

5. Choose an antibacterial cleaner over scented ones.

Did you know that odors come from live bacteria? Instead of working to get rid of the smell, make sure you're getting rid of the source by using an antibacterial cleaner. If your bathroom is truly clean, you don't have to worry about sour smells.
