The hustle of city life often leaves us exhausted and stressed. For us to be able to fully recharge and rest, it's important that our home is not just clean and organized! It should be conducive to resting and relaxing so that we can have the energy to face another day.

With a few helpful tricks, you can turn your space into a peaceful sanctuary where you can fully recover from a tough day. Here are a few ideas that you can do:

Turn off the appliances when not in use

Do you often leave the television or radio on at night? Make it a habit to turn off these appliances before you sleep so you can sleep soundly. Doing so can help you save on electricity, too.

Add natural scents

Achieve a relaxing vibe by adding natural scents. Chamomile has a light scent that's perfect for the bedroom. It is also know to help relieve stress and insomnia. You can put it in a nice container that you can place on your side table. You can also create your own reed diffuser! Click here for the complete guide.

Work with relaxing colors

According to the psychology of color, greens and blues create a peaceful vibe at home because they symbolize peace and nature. You can also work on your bathroom! Create a spa-like feel by adding scented candles, toiletries in trays, and towels in teal or sage green.

Soundproof your room

Don't let noise ruin your slumber! Add rubber weather-stripping around small spaces and cracks above and in between doors and windows. You may also opt for thick curtains, padded furniture, and a soft rug for your room.
