Since the holiday season is fast approaching, we're pretty sure that you calendar is filled with tasks and appointments. If you're planning to host a simple party with close friends and family, you can make it a stree-free event with a few tips and practical options. Keep these must-dos in mind: 

Prepare something new

Exchanging gifts is one of the staple activities in any Christmas party. If you have been preparing games and videoke sessions every year, why not make it different this year? Fun board games and crafting sessions are welcome alternatives! You can pick up a new hobby and learn something new too! These activities can be part of your Christmas traditions as well.

Keep things simple

Your party does not have to be expensive and luxurious. Your guests will surely appreciate a casual lunch or dinner where they can relax, enjoy good food, and relish the company of friends. To ensure the comfort of your guests, make sure there are enough chairs, the home is well-ventilated, and they can move around freely.

Involve your friends with the planning and execution

Hosting a party can be easier and fun with a little help from your friends. Ask for their inputs and divide the tasks. We're sure that they would gladly lend a helping hand: from buying souvenirs, setting up the space, and planning the program, too! It is also ideal to have a potluck so that you won't feel pressured about preparing the food. Your friends can decide on the dish that they'll bring—it can be their specialty or their favorite recipe.

Avoid cramming

As much as possible, you need to start early in order to pull off an unforgettable party! As early as now, you need to finalize the head count already. Send out invitations two to three weeks before the event and set a meeting with your friends. Create a timetable where you can plot your tasks including: shopping, cleaning the space, and decorating the dining area. Having a schedule in mind can help you work efficiently.
