4 Things You Need To Know About Art In The Park 2016

The best thing about art is probably the fact that it can be shared and enjoyed by everyone. However, over time, a perceived notion the world of art is secluded has been formed. 

Such is the goal of Art In The Park—to break down barriers and remind people that art should spread joy. In this fun little fête, art galleries and independent artists from around country showcase one-of-a-kind pieces that visitors would want to take home. 

On April 3, the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village will once again be transformed into a buzzing hub of artists and art enthusiasts from 10am to 10pm. Here are four things you need to know about this event:

It’s about affordable art. 

Organized by the Philippine Art Events, Inc., Art In The Park is an annual event that benefits the Museum Foundation of the Philippines in its mission to create awareness for the National Museum and it's network. This event offers a wide range of art—from paintings and prints to sculpture and new media—with tag prices at P50,000 and below.

They are celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year.

Art In The Park is celebrating it's 10th anniversary with the 10 Years, 10 Artists Project. Selected limited edition Giclee prints signed by the artists will be on sale as a boxed set at the Musem Foundation of the Philippines booth.

It’s a great place to discover new artists.

Whether you're a casual fan or a long-time collector, Art In The Park is a great place to find your new favorite. Renowned galleries such as 1335Mabini, Ang I.N.K, B-Side Art, Blanc, TUP Fine Arts and The Thursday Group are going to be featuting a lot of up and coming pieces from young artists.
