We often see towel rods in the bathroom, and sometimes the bedroom too! For those who want to make the most of their spaces, it isn't enough to limit the use of rods in only two areas. There are unexpected ways to work with rods—and in the different parts of the house, too! Consider some of these clever tips:

In the kitchen

To solve space problems in a small kitchen, you only need to maximize the available vertical space. Install rods under the cabinets or even on a plain wall. Hang baskets that can hold fruits and a couple of ingredients. You can even decorate it with mini potted plants.

In the laundry area

Since the laundry area can be busy—with clothes and detergents all over the place—it can be difficult to work efficiently. Avoid stress by installing rods on one wall, hang baskets or plastic containers and use it to keep brushes and soap in place. A separate basket can be used to hold small pieces of clothing as well.

For your closet

How do you keep your cabinets and closets organized? Aside from letting go of the things that you no longer use, we're sure that you always make it a point to fold your clothes neatly. But how about your shoes? While you can always keep them inside boxes, you may also use rods to hang and display your collection of heels. Install the rods on the inside of your cabinet door and arrange your shoes accordingly.

In your kids' room

Organizing your little ones' room means keeping things accessible. Install rods on the wall and hang different organizers with proper labels. Use it to keep art supplies in place and other small belongings that they have. This option can also make it easier for your kids to return things after using them, plus, it lessens clutter on the floor.
