4 Must-Visit Places for Christmas Decor Shopping

From downtown Manila to the supermarket, we've got shopping hubs for holiday decor that will match your style and budget

Create a festive vibe at home with unique finds and charming pieces at affordable prices that you can't find anywhere else! Schedule a visit to these destinations as soon as possible:

Dapitan Arcade

As early as August and September, vendors at Dapitan Arcade (37 Dapitan corner Kanlaon Street) start setting up their holiday items. Dapitan is one of the best one-stop-spots for holiday must-haves in different shapes, styles, or price points.

Must-have finds: Santa Claus figures, Nutcracker Soldiers, rustic-style Christmas trees and wreaths made out of rough twigs, and below-100-peso ceramic plates and platters for your Noche Buena.

Binondo

If you're near the Binondo area, don't forget to visit specialty stores from Juan Luna to Ylaya to stock up on holiday decor basics.

Must-visit stops: Jubilee Commercial (Jose Abad Street, Manila) for the cheapest Christmas trees to the most expensive (faux Scottish pine); Tabora Street for rice, pearl, and rope lights; and Morning Glory for ribbons and other materials that you can use if you're crafting your own decor.

RL Tip: You can create your own Christmas wreath! Click here for the complete guide.

Divisoria

Divi resembles a war zone during the month of December, but it remains your best bet in scoring the best Christmas décor bargains, plus, you can make tawad.

Must-have finds: Bundles of miniature fruits, reindeer, poinsettia, and undecorated wreaths that are very affordable.

RL Tip: Visit Divisoria early and try not to stay past 12noon. Don't forget to bring a large tote for your purchases.

Supermarkets

If you want to shop in clean, well-lighted, and air-conditioned place but do not have the time to trawl the immense shopping malls, you’ll be surprised you could find that last-minute holiday décor at a supermarket while doing groceries for your potluck ingredients.

Must-visit supermarkets: Schedule a trip to any S&R store for stylish and good quality items. You may also drop by SM and Robinsons Supermarkets for a couple of finds.
