Head out to this shopping haunt and score a couple of versatile pieces for the home
Dapitan Arcade has become a popular shopping destination—especially if you are looking for affordable pieces that you can add to your space. If you're visiting anytime soon, make sure you bring cash with you as the stalls do not accept credit cards.
Open since the 1990s, this Quezon City market has become the place for stylish but surprisingly affordable home décor. The selection can be quite overwhelming, so make sure to go there with specific items in mind. Here are 4 items that you will find there:
Pots of varying colors and sizes, decorative items, and dinnerware for as low as P20 apiece can be found inside the actual arcade. You may also find bone china pieces by the side entrance, which go for as low as P10.
Where to use it: You may place the pots in your garden or you can use some of the dinnerware as centerpiece.
Whether you're looking for drinking glasses or vases—there's a lot to see! Brightly colored bottles and affordable lighting fixtures are available at the stalls in front of the arcade, while large vases, hurricane lamps, and cylinders meant for floral arrangements can be found near Suki Wet and Dry Market outside the arcade.
Where to use it: Prepare a pretty flower arrangement and place it by the foyer or living area. If you're lucky enough to find a charming lamp or any lighting fixture, how about adding it in the garden?
If you've always loved the Shabby-Chic, rustic, and tropical home styles, you will surely love the distressed, unfinished wood pieces available. Head for the open-air stalls near Suki Market you’ll find loads of wooden letters, vases, shells, and fruits there, some for as low as P50 apiece.
Where to use it: You may use these pieces when styling the coffee table in the living area. You may also use it as accents in your bedroom.
Baskets for hampers and storage, bowls for trinkets, and even trivets are a dime a dozen, and they’re found all around the arcade. Hampers that go for a thousand pesos in malls can be purchased for a few hundreds here.
Where to use it: Place baskets in the bathroom, laundry area, and bedroom! These pieces will surely come in handy when it comes to organizing and keeping your space clean.
