4 Home Maintenance Must-Haves and Why You Need Them

As homewners, we love shopping for furniture and decor that can beautify our homes. However, we also need to keep in mind that to be able to truly make the most of our space, it needs to be in tiptop shape too!

Make sure that you can work on simple home repairs and mini DIY projects with the four must-haves below. Remember, if you don't know how to deal with a home problem, it's always best to consult with a professional.

Paint

This must-have doesn't just liven up a dull space at home—it can also breathe new life into an old furniture or decor. Check your tables and chairs—if they look worn out, you can easily update its look with a fresh coat of varnish and paint.

Research on what type of paint is suitable for the material of your piece. For wooden surfaces, pick enamel paint but for concrete, it's best to use latex paint.

White vinegar

Vinegar is not just an essential in the kitchen! It can also be used to disinfect and clean glass and kitchen counters. You can also use it to solve minor clogs. Pour a cup of white vinegar down the drain then after a few minutes, pour hot water to rinse it off. For major drain problems, it's best to call a plumber.

Tile glue
