Your kitchen won't be complete without trusty kitchen appliances that make work easier and more efficient. But buying items doesn't just boil down to which is affordable and which item has more features. To create a space that's well-utilized, you need to make sure that your appliances fit perfectly into the area. Let these tips guide you.

Keep these tips in mind:

Measure the space allotted for the appliances.

It's crucial to measure the available space to avoid problems on where to place the items. Bring a tape measure with you just to be sure. Don't buy pieces on impulse as you are risking a cramped space in the process.

Keep the items in good condition.

Read the manuals included in the packaging. Taking care of your appliances somehow ensures longevity and kitchen safety. It’s also best to clean your appliances regularly to keep them in tip-top shape and maximize their usage.

Pick multipurpose appliances.

Having too many appliances may not work for everyone. Buy what you really need and choose appliances with multiple functions. If you’re living in a small space, purchase an all-in one juicer-blender for your drinks and a stove top steamer for your meals, to save space.

RL Tip: You can also create an appliance storage area for your kitchen to make it look organized. Click here for more kitchen organizing tips.

Create a unified look.

Stick to one type of surface finish for your appliances. Doing this helps create a uniformed look for your space, thereby avoiding a cluttered look. Choose between stainless or matte steel, white, black, or veneer to tie the look together.

RL Tip: Granite slab counter tops are highly recommended because of their natural beauty, durability, and resistance to heat and stains.
