4 Easy Ways to Repurpose Old Suitcases
These items can give your home a distinct vintage vibe
If you have been traveling for a while now, we're guessing that you have tons of suitcases at home—with different styles, colors, and sizes. For those who simply can't let go of these classic pieces, you can repurpose them into home items so that they won't take up space as clutter.
Create quirky accents for the home and work on any of these ideas:
As a bookcase
If you have a suitcase in a light shade or maybe an item that showcases a mix of pastels, you can install it in your bedroom or even by your bed as a bookcase. Use it to hold you favorite reads—just make sure that it can hold the weight of the books. The pockets can be used to display photos and prints.

As a side table
If you need a side table in your bedroom, you can stack two or more pieces to craft a vintage piece. It's important that you measure that height of your bed so that you'll know how many suitcases you'll need. Get the biggest and sturdiest suitcase that you have to serve as the base of the table and add the remaining according to size.
Complete the look by adding a lamp (you can get a vintage one), an alarm clock, and a catchall for your essentials.

As a mini bar
For those who love hosting parties, you can create a special corner for drinks and refreshments by placing one suitcase on top of a slim table. If you want something permanent, you can ask a carpenter to attach the suitcase to a sturdy table.

As a shelf
Since these items are usually made from leather, they are durable enough to be turned into wall-mounted shelves! Use your vintage shelf to display decor, your photos, and even your collections. Just make sure that each suitcase is properly secured to carry the weight of your things.
