4 Christmas Decorating Tips for Your Entryway

Transform your foyer into a whimsical space

Shares

We've probably said it more than once, the foyer sets the mood of the house and gives visitors a taste of what to expect the moment they step into your home. Since the holiday season is fast approaching, you also need to decorate this part of the house, to serve as a warm welcome to your guests.

You may choose to add lovely decor pieces or set up a vignette. Let these four ideas guide and inspire you:

Style your console table

Keep the console table free from catchalls and other pieces. Style it according to the season by adding holiday-themed accessories like pine cones and Christmas balls in a jar or bowl. You may also have a mini Christmas tree and a few scented candles.

Choose your decor wisely

Avoid a cramped and cluttered home by limiting the number of pieces that you have. Choose eye-catching, mini decor pieces, or you may also work with Christmas balls in vibrant shades.

Keep it cozy

If your studio unit cannot accommodate guests in the living area, you can also turn your foyer into an extension of this space. Add extra stools or ottomans and choose pieces in crean, brown, or white. Complete the look by adding ribbons, stars, and a few silver touches.

Spruce up your stairs

If you have a staircase at home, you can also decorate it with garlands and Christmas lights. Just make sure you double check the electrical connections and that there are no dangling lights to avoid accidents.
