Anyone who has experienced furnishing a home knows that it requires a lot of time and attention. This is probably one of the reasons why a lot of people are surprised to learn that a handful of celebrities once delved into the realm of design, too. Guess what? Some of them are still into it until now. After all, music, film, and design are different forms of art.
We've listed down five famous people whose passion influenced their careers in unexpected ways:
Alma is a graduate of BS Interior Design from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Aside from being a licensed Interior Designer, she holds a diploma in international business from Southville International School as well. With two degrees under her belt, she built Espasyo Manila with partners Liel Gardon, Alaina Santiago, and Czarina Cuaresma. She is also a member of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers.

After graduating from the Philippine School of Interior Design in 2003, Carmi immediately started working on setting up Martin Interiors. Today, her brainchild remains to be a popular one-stop shop for home beautification needs and have branched out to working on offices, rest houses, and other commercial spaces.

With his stunning voice, it's not surprising that Christian has established himself as a hitmaker here and abroad. However, not a lot of people know that he also studied Landscape Architecture at University of the Philippines-Diliman. He also likes to post occassional photographs of gardens and sceneries on Instagram to showcase his love for landscapes.

Agot is not just a recording artist, actress, host, and TV personality, she also has a couple of design-related degrees up her sleeve. She graduated BS Interior Design from the University of the Philippines-Diliman then pursued Fashion Buying and Merchandising at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Before becoming a full-fledged beauty queen, Maxine dabbled in the world of styling spaces. She studied interior design and graduated in 2014 from the Philippine School of Interior Design. Although she never pursued a career in the said field, she still has a passion for beautiful nooks and loves posting them on her Instagram account!
