4 Beautiful Centerpieces For Your Next Party

Ditch the usual flowers and fruits to make way for these!

Aside from food and home decorations, one detail we pay attention to when we’re hosting a party is the table centerpiece. Dining becomes a more pleasurable experience when the table is enhanced by a stylish, well-thought-out vignette. If you’re stumped with ideas, here are four centerpieces you can showcase at your next party:

1. For brunch or afternoon tea

Imagine a Mad Hatter tea party without the quirkiness. The beauty of this French-country setup lies in its rustic and dainty elements. Choose white teapots and teacups with delicate curves and dishes that evoke a cottage-like feel. Place slim, small vases or bottles with leaves to liven up your setup. Place your vignette on a slightly distressed table, and add a wooden, whimsical accessory like this wooden bunny as a finishing touch.

2. For dessert after dinner

This modern-classic setting is dramatic enough to make an impact without being tacky. Choose tableware with curvy, classical silhouettes for elegance. Bring out the cake stands that are gathering dust inside your China cabinet and fill them with decorative balls. Choose simple cutlery to balance everything out.

3. For lunch in your lanai

Go the Spanish route. Choose plates and bowls that lean toward earthy tones like burnt orange and brown. Complement them with cobalt blue accessories. Play with patterns by using table napkins, placemats, or tablecloth with distinct prints. Prop your vignette on a wooden furniture with light stain to ground all the elements.

4. For an intimate dinner for two

A candlelit table with chilled wine on the side isn’t your only option. Be adventurous and go for a nature theme. Put leaves in clear glass jars in lieu of a floral arrangement. Substitute porcelain plates with rustic dinnerware made of wood. Accessorize the table with old books for a nostalgic feel, and add a bit of whimsy with animal tabletop décor.
