3 Ways to Work with Rose Quartz and Serenity at Home

The colors of the year can transform your space into a chic and calming home

Whether it's in the realm of beauty and fashion or home and design, Pantone's Colors of the Year have gained quite a following and this comes as no surprise. The color combo is the right balance of sweet, charming, and soothing—making it an ideal choice for the home.

If you're thinking of using these two colors at home, make it work with the help of these tips from interior designer Peaches de Guzman-Grey:

Create balance with neutral colors

The best thing about neutrals is it can work well with anything. If you feel like these two hues are a bit overwhelming, consider pairing it with white, gold or tan. You can also have a neutral color as the dominant shade at home and just use Rose Quartz and Serenity as accent colors.

RL Tip: “The only thing tricky about this color palette is that Rose Quartz is technically a warm color and Serenity is a cool color so be careful when you pair it with gray tones,” Peaches shares.

Opt for wooden textures

Wooden textures may work well with these two hues as it gives contrast to the softness of the colors. If you already have wooden furniture, opt for accessories like trays, candles, and vases in Rose Quartz or Serenity to update the look of your living room.

RL Tip: You can also try pairing them with brass furniture!

Try to experiment

You can’t perfect one look in one try. You need to keep experimenting and trying different looks in order to find the right one. Don't be afraid to style your home—follow your heart and choose the look that makes you happy.
