When it comes to choosing the design and style of your home, keep in mind that it should reflect your personality and interests. If you think that popular styles are too dull and plain, experimenting with a quiry style can work well for you.

To inspire you to decorate your space, check out this interesting home owned by an interior designer. It features white walls paired with bold accents like geometric figures rendered in bright green washi tape. Each piece contributes to the overall look of the space. Here are three things that we can learn from this home:

Add DIY decor

Crafts that you finished on your own and even your first calligraphy output can be used to decorate and personalize your space. Depending on your finished projects, you can use it as tabletop decor, wall art, and even as a centerpiece.

Take inspiration from the owner's one-of-a-kind wall decor. The piece was made using an embroidery hoop, a plain shirt, and her drawing skills. It now has a place of honor above her bedside table.

Create a special nook

One corner of the owner's bedroom works as a work area. It also sits right beside her pet cat Frankie's spot. If you're planning to create a work corner in your bedroom, place it by the window so you can maximize natural light. Complete the space with a sturdy table, a comfy chair, and a quality lamp.

Source from different shops

The white sectional sofa in the space works well with the bright pillows that the owner sourced from a department source. You may also visit different stores, compare prices, and make a final decision. Aside from visiting your favorite stores, you can also drop by secondhand shops and thrift stores.
