3 Ways to Inject Geometric Patterns into the Home

Give your accent wall an embellished twist

Shares

To liven up the home, many homeowners work with accent walls. Others prefer vibrant colors and there are those who pair exciting shades with captivating wall art. If you find these common and you want to veer away from using washi tape and wallpaper, you may want to consider a few geometric prints and patterns. The lines and shapes add interest to a space and give it a playful touch. Get your paint and markers ready, and check out these ideas:

Work with two tones

Whether you love different shades of gray or you adore the contrast of black and white, you can showcase this at home. Choose an interesting shape—consider hexagon or rhombus—and create outlines on the wall (you can ask help from a carpenter). Paint the spaces using the two colors that you prefer.

Complement your walls with metal stools and accessories for an industrial-inspired space.

Go sweet with pastels

If you are working on your bedroom or reading nook, you can check different pastel shades that you can use. To keep up with trends, you can work with Rose Quartz or Serenity. For a bright and airy room, choose shades of yellow paired with subtle hints of blue.

Start with prints and artwork

It's okay if you're not yet ready to paint your walls. If you simply want to spruce up neutral walls, you can display geometric prints or framed artworks featuring colorful shapes. This idea also works for those who are renting their spaces and can't work on any major changes.
