Jacy Gamboa and Marie Gutierrez

Owners, Luona Concept Store

After working on different projects, architect Jacy Gamboa wanted her design to concentrate more on what she likes—hence, Luona's specific style. Her cousin Marie Gutierrez shares the same aesthetic and has been helping with the branding. Some of the pieces are products of local artisans that the duo are collaborating with.

Mariel named her business Domesticity because of her love affair with things for the home. Now 13 years old, Domesticity not only produces home wares but has also become “a social enterprise.” The brand works with a Gawad Kalinga community in San Carlos, Cebu City, providing additional source of income for some of the locals in Negros Occidental.

Justin Uy

President, ADA Nature Aquariums

In Hong Kong, where Justin spent his college years, “all the fish stores would feature Aqua Design Amano. It was known to be the best brand of aquariums,” he recalls.
