Aside from showcasing outstanding design-related products from professionals, the 20th Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX) also celebrates fresh talent of young aspiring interior designers.

Obra Maestra 2015 is a yearly competition that invites interior design students from colleges around the metro to showcase their fresh ideas. This year, the Council of Interior Design Educators have teamed up with Wilcon Depot, to execute the theme—“Asean Centric." It plays around the mixture of modern design with different cultures.

Thai-Themed Living Room

The modern tropical-inspired look help showcase Thailand's vibrant culture.

What we love: The impressive mirror! The sleek geometric shapes complete the room's modern feel.

Designed by the Philippine School of Interior Design.

Indonesian Dining Room

The space is cozy, spacious, and relaxing. Dining in this area will surely remind you of Bali's refreshing surroundings.

Philippine Colonial-Inspired Dining Room

Filipinos love to bond over good food and this is clearly seen in the dining area designed by students from UP Diliman. To give the space a serene and calming feel, blue and white were creatively combined.

What we love: The knickknacks on the shelves—especially the mini typewriter! The unique wine and plate holders are great for storing and displaying essentials.

Designed by the University of The Philippines-Diliman.

Members: Nina Sanin, Hannah Valentino, Cienna Eder, Giselle Gargantos, and Dominique Castro

Vietnam-Inspired Living Room

The bright yellow wall work well with the hot pink sofa. A mix of patterns and styles in the accessories complete the look of the space.

What we love: The traditional window with blue panels add a vibrant touch to the area.

Designed by College of Holy Spirit.

Members: Trisha de Jesus, Julliana Valmonte, Roxanne Raymundo, Ericka Menorca, and Gabrielle Ysabella Kierulf

Bathroom with Philippine Indigenous Style

Reminiscent of a spa, this bathroom highlights Pinoy details such as the neutral-colored beads and wooden elements.

What we love: The addition of the stones under the bathtub which completes the spa-like ambience.

Designed by University of Sto. Tomas

Members: Ma. Aurora Carlos, Erika Danielle Fernandez, Jean dela Cruz, Nelle Sanchez, and Liana Bianca Limjoco

Cambodian-Inspired Dining Room

The reflection of the Angkor Wat served as the inspiration for this modern dining area.

What we love: The inverted spires under the table, reminiscent of the design of the Angkor Wat's facade.
