These Dream Bathrooms Will Inspire You To Renovate Your Own

Because it is totally okay to dream about bathing in the most beautiful places imaginable!

We’ve all had some extravagantly unattainable dream bathroom pinned on a Pinterest wall somewhere. To feed that fantasy, we are giving you ten more dream bathrooms seen in hotels and other luxurious places abroad. Only this time, we’re giving you tips on how to achieve that patterned shower enclosure, or where to buy a gold-finish fitting, to make that dream a reality!

A decadently moody ensuite bath.

Dutch designer Vivian van Schagen created the interiors of the totally unique The Fritz Hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany. “The Fritz is more than a hotel concept; it is a cosmopolitan collection of ideas, experiences, and people,” the designer says. Here, bold floral patterns mix with jewel tones, marble, and gold in both bed and bath.

More dark florals in the shower.

Also in The Fritz Hotel, a small shower stall gets extra oomph with a larger-than-life patterned shower enclosure and gold-finish Axor taps and shower fittings. Want a shower enclosure pattern like this? Try having it customized at La Deco.

A boudoir-like bath.

If you have the extra space (and the extra budget), why not go all out and create your own luxurious boudoir-bathroom? This one’s fitted with all the accoutrements of a boudoir, complete with foot rug, side tables, artwork, and a proper tub with Metropol bath fittings. Get a similar rug from Decoliving Manila.

Subtle gold touches.

An all-white bathroom could get an instant luxe touch by subtle accents of gold in tiles, trimmings, and décor. You can find similar small furniture from Caracole.

An actual room with a view.

Norwegian billionaire Petter Stordalen built At Six art hotel, a 343-room hotel in Sweden featuring dark and dramatic interiors filled with designer furniture. Check out one of the guest rooms here:

So it is no surprise that the bathrooms are equally dramatic.

This bath—fitted with Antonio Citterio-designed pieces for Axor and facing a sparse roofdeck—is strikingly modern and urban but luxurious all at the same time.

This modern vanity sink area is totally doable.

In the same hotel, the vanity sink and countertop are laid out in an efficient, sleek, and almost masculine way. The Citterio washbasin adds to the sleekness.

A built-in rainshower (no exposed pipes, please).

If you’re going for an ultra-modern bathroom look, then exposed pipes won’t do you any good. Choose an overhead Raindance shower that’s embedded into the ceiling for a clean look.

The most elegant double vanity we’ve seen.

The Weissenhaus Grand Village Resort and Spa is considered one of Europe’s most beautiful hotels located by the Baltic Sea. Comprised of thirty historic buildings and a renovated castle, the bathroom fixtures and fittings all have a contemporary-classic touch to the design.

A huge tub that opens to your own balcony.

The Weissenhaus resort has 62 finely appointed bathrooms, and some of them open to its own balconies! To go with the contemporary-classic theme, Axor Montreux bath mixer fittings are used.

This modern pink dream.

If you’re in Miami, then you’re probably going to take a dip in a pastel bathroom like this. Designer enfant terrible Philippe Starck was inspired by Madame Pompadour’s classical rooms, but mixed it all up with streamlined modern interiors (and he used his own bath fittings, of course) and trademark Starck craziness like ducks by the pool.

A minimalist bathroom by the pool.

And just because you’ve got your own pool. The rest could all be minimalist luxury, as seen in this Axor bath by Philippe Starck. An addition of a classic Eames stool would help, too.

All bathroom fixtures are available at Kuysen, G/F, Eton Residences, Legazpi St., Legazpi Village, Makati; or click here to see their other showrooms. All images courtesy of Axor and Hansgrohe.
