This Line of Lavender-Colored Cookware is So Pretty

The new Le Creuset collection is making us purple with envy

We haven’t gotten over luxury cookware brand Le Creuset’s Millennial Pink-colored Dutch ovens (the official color is “Sugar Pink”) when they have launched yet another Instagrammable, trendy color line for 2018: Provence.

The Provence collection of cast iron cookware is dipped in enamel ombré tints ranging from the palest lilac to saturated lavender. We are assuming that it’s called “Provence” because the southeastern French region of the same name is famous for its field of lavender flowers.

It’s definitely eye candy, but this Le Creuset line is one of the best cookware pieces money could buy (Kris Aquino is a fan). A Dutch oven is a heavy cast iron pot coated in enamel, and is favored by cooks and professional chefs for its heat-retaining qualities, meaning it could cook the most flavorful stews, tender pot roasts, and the moistest cakes.

The Provence collection is currently available only at Sur La Table, the US-based purveyor of professional cookware (Le Creuset will officially carry it in March). But if you’re hungry for a trendy color, why not snap up their Cassis line, which is in a deep, dark purple:

This collection rides on the trend of Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2018, Ultra Violet. Now how about a cute teapot (so very reminiscent of Mrs. Potts) in the deep purple hue:

You can find Le Creuset items locally at Rustan’s, 304, Glorietta 4, Ayala Center, Makati City, or at Gourdo’s, 4/L Mega Fashion Hall, Bldg. D, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
