Looks like we’re inching closer and closer to the opening of the world’s largest IKEA store!  In a June 7 Facebook post, IKEA Philippines announced an “important milestone.”

“Our first bast of IKEA range has finally arrived in IKEA Pasay City. We can’t wait to unbox these and make them available to many Filipinos!”

The brand has been quite visible on social media the past few months, and in fact, its managers have shared that they’ve been visiting Filipino homes to learn more about culture, tradition, and the importance of filial connections.

“We’ve always been fascinated about people’s lives at home. So we ask how they live their life at home. This helps us do what we do—create modern furniture design that helps people to not just survive at home, but thrive,” Store manager of IKEA Pasay City Georg Platzer had said in a release.

So when is IKEA really opening? While there’s no set date just yet, Platzer had previously announced in an event with their local partner Rags2Riches that the e-commerce store is set launch in the 3rd quarter of 2021, while the physical store is set to open in the 4th.
