For many, broken items are often considered unusable, but if you’re familiar with kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing shattered pottery with gold as a reminder that something can be more beautiful after being broken, then you know that with a bit of creativity, the opposite is actually true.

And while the folks behind Resurrection Furniture and Found Objects Gallery don’t exactly practice kintsugi, the idea behind their pieces are the same: they turn discarded items into something new. As their website attests, “We see dead objects. We revive them.”

If you’re looking for unique pieces that will definitely make a statement, then browse through their shop. They have everything from cabinets to coat racks, to found art. Their products are a bit on the pricier side, but remember that these are one-of-a-kind and are works of art themselves.
