It’s a great material to make furniture pieces from, as The Spruce notes, it is “lightweight and almost impervious and is easy to move and handle. It can withstand extreme conditions of humidity and temperature and has a natural resistance to insects.” Rattan offers a tropical feel as well as the nostalgic appeal of afternoons in your lola’s house—both of which are much needed during these unprecedented times.
