RL Makeovers: A One-Week Transformation for a Studio Unit in Manila
Interior designer Ayet San Jose-Aniag improved the small home of a young mom
How can you improve a home in just one week? If you ask interior designer Ayet San Jose-Aniag, there is so much that can be done in a short amount of time. With only a week to spare, she was able to turn this plain studio unit into a warm and cozy haven for homeowner April Claire Jumayao.
Prior to this home makeover, the homeowner did not even have a proper bed! She only slept on a simple mattress on the vinyl-covered floor.
The interior designer created a more comfortable sleeping area by using a metal bed frame with wood details. The new bed is now topped with pillows and bed sheets from Robinsons Department Store.
The homeowner used to keep her clothes on a rack. However, since this was placed in front of her bed, it was the last thing that she would see at night and the first thing that she would see in the morning.
To make her view more appealing, the interior designer created an entertainment wall.
Ayet also spruced up the drab and dated kitchen by painting the cabinets, replacing the handles, and bringing in organizers. She also replaced the damaged flooring material.
