You can make a quick change in your bedroom. Since the bed is the biggest piece of furniture in your bedroom, changing your bed linen is an easy way of making you feel like you’re sleeping in a brand new room. Exchange your tired, faded beddings with new ones in bright colors and funky prints—it’ll instantly give you an energy boost.

Drape a comforter or a cool piece of fabric over your old headboard as this will make it look like you have one of those fancy padded ones.

Don’t buy an entire set of expensive dinnerware; add smaller pieces to update it instead. Start with colorful but inexpensive drinking glasses, and while you’re at it, a new set of table napkins won’t hurt either.

Prop up your spare framed photos, posters and paintings to conceal wiring for a stylish cover-up.

Spare yourself re-upholstery costs; change the colors of your pillowcases and you’ll change the look of your sofa—and room. If you’re feeling creative, push the look further by adding a rectangular pillow, designer-style.

No need to buy that pricey set of bathroom organizers. Look through your glassware or ceramic collections—teacups, sugar bowls, and mugs you never use can double as cotton bud holders, makeup catchalls, and more.
