Youtuber Viy Cortez Grants Parents' Dream of Having Their Own House
Social media influencer Viy Cortez has always dreamed of repaying her parents for all their sacrifices to give their family a better life.
Viy started vlogging on YouTube in April 2016, and within a span of four years, she became an Ever Bilena endorser with 1.5 million followers on Instagram and 3.93 million followers on YouTube.
Finally, she achieved her goal at the age of 24: she gifted her parents with a home they can call their own. She bought the property from Nikki Yanong, the older sister of model and Pinoy Big Brother housemate Lou Yanong, who happens to be Viy's high-school batchmate.
On August 11, 2020, she gave her YouTube subscribers a tour of their new family home on her channel.
Viy told PEP.ph in this exclusive interview via Zoom last September 16, "Nagrerenta lang naman kasi kami...
In her vlog, Viy said she immediately started the renovations as soon as the property was turned over to her, "Ginawa siya as couple house, ganun.
She talked about her plans to add more rooms, build a library, repaint the walls, and redesign the landscape around house.
An important consideration that made Viy decide to buy the property was space. The vlogger expounded in her interview with PEP.ph, "Ako kasi, nung nakita ko yung bahay na yun feeling ko talaga...
Now that Viy has given her parents their dream home, the next on the agenda of the content creator is to buy her own dream house.
Also on the horizon is build a lifetime with comedian-vlogger Lincoln Velazquez, aka CongTV, her boyfriend of five years.
