As a freelancer, homeowner John Austin Perez considers his bedroom as his very own home office, too.

The only problem with this setup? Austin shared that his room looked “makalat” and “crowded.” The content creator-web designer used to have a wall-mounted desk for work and a mattress in his room. “Dito kami natutulog sa lapag. Naglalatag lang ng kutson,” he wrote on his Facebook post. Since he lacked storage space, you can find his personal stuff—from shoe boxes to bags—in corners of his room.

To breathe new life to his room, Austin also had his walls repainted in a warm neutral shade. “I spent around P5,000 for the repainting of the walls.” According to the homeowner, he spent around P20,000 for the entire makeover!
