Pampanga is known for many things: a foodie destination, a holiday haven during Christmas season, and an adventurer's getaway. But if you want a respite from the busy week, this province that's just a couple of hours away from Manila also offers interesting places to stay, such as a private villa or a picture-perfect bed and breakfast. There's also a stylish Airbnb that's inspired by bits and pieces of the bahay kubo. Kubo by Mae, as it is called, is located in San Fernando, Pampanga. It can accommodate up to 15 guests for P11,500.

Designed personally by owners, the house is built with couples, families, and friends who would want to spend a quick getaway in mind. The wood finishes may be reminiscent of your grandparents' home, not to mention the antique items that tell their own story. The place has three bedrooms, six beds, and four baths. It features a swimming pool, plenty of outdoor space, and a teepee located in the backyard where you can hang out. There's also the option of renting out only one of the rooms (for P7,000) or two bedrooms (for P10,000), but having the whole place to yourself for an exclusive stay.
