“The 7107 project is a collaboration between Masê Investments—which is our holding company, with Treston International College—a homegrown international school for business and hospitality, and tourism. The school, which is our advocacy educational arm, needed a platform to showcase the talents from hospitality, culinary, gastronomy so we thought up a local concept,” explains Gerwyn See, president and CEO of Masê Investments.

Whether you're looking for a new resto to visit or scouting for decorating ideas you can apply in your home, here are five things that make a visit to 7107 a must:

1. The place promotes local dishes.

“Rather than French or Italian, we needed to showcase our own. But we needed to showcase na that's very extraordinary, not your average local, not your typical Filipino restaurant. We upgraded it with the help of our students, our professors, and our executive chefs. These are our local dishes presented in global form so that it would be palatable for the upmarket and the young market," he adds.

2. It features a laid-back ambiance where you can relax and spend quality time with friends.

Located in Bonifacio Global City, 7107 features interiors that serve as the perfect stage to present such elevated local dishes. The restaurant is modern, hip, and undeniably cool—the perfect equation for any social media post. Each corner of the restaurant is a feast for the eyes—from the brick walls filled with Filipino mementos and the wide open kitchen, to the exceptional seating pieces supplied by Match Contract Furniture and the shipping container-paneled wall featuring bold colorful graphics.

3. The restaurant highlights the creativity of Filipino artists.

Gerwyn and his wife Sheryl, executive vice-president of Treston International College, enlisted the help of notable Filipino creatives in putting up the place.

For the graphic on the container paneled wall, they tapped Daryl Feril, a Bacolod-based artist who has done work for Louis Vuitton and Walt Disney among others. The look was then completed with the help of stylist Nix Alanon.

4. The interiors will inspire you to add wooden elements and Filipino-inspired details to your space.

“We consider our local talents in the forefront of our entire business unit for 7107. It's not about us. It's about the local artists who need to be presented or promoted,” says Gerwyn. For the interiors, they sought the services of C+C Design Services—IDs Chino de la Torre and Cal Tavera.

5. After enjoying your meal, you can shop from a sari-sari depot.

Apart from the celebration of Filipino cuisine, the restaurant—which seats 115 guests comfortably —also promotes local products in their sari-sari depot as well as Filipino artists and authors with the line-up of future events they plan to host.

Sheryl explains, “This is the venue for anything that is about art and local pride. That’s what we stand for. 7107 is a platform. Showcasing, promoting, and then loving. First you need to know, then you understand. Then that’s when pride comes in.”

7107 Culture + Cuisine is located at G/F Treston International College, University Parkway District, 32nd Street corner C5 Road, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. For more updates, visit the restaurant's website or follow the 7107 Culture + Cuisine Facebook page.
