These days, there are a lot of dining establishments that serve not only good food but also fantastic interiors. Spend a weekend brunch or a Friday dinner at any of these restaurants that have stepped up their interior game, and don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting your home to look like one.

1. Tahanan Bistro

This intimate fine dining restaurant gives you another reason to head to Antipolo, Rizal on a weekend. Tahanan Bistro is an extension of the home of renowned furniture designer and Antipolo-based Benji Reyes, so expect the place to be peppered with his signature woodworks and other distinctly Pinoy art.

Aside from such impressive craftsmanship, Tahanan also boasts lush gardens and a magnificent view of the cityscape. Spend a family brunch here, or a romantic dinner date to take full advantage of the ambiance. Don’t forget to make the necessary reservations before you pop in.

Visit Tahanan Bistro at 22 Loresville Dr., Lores Farm Subd., San Roque, Antipolo City.

2. Nono's

Nono's is an eye candy of pastel colors done right—it's not painfully sweet, and the pretty hues are perfectly complemented by textures of wood, stone, and marble. This lovely restaurant was designed by W. Lopez Designs, and furniture pieces were mostly custom-made by Space Encounters.

Try getting a table near the windows for more Instagram-worthy food posts. You may also want a seat at the nook facing the mall entrance that looks like it belongs to a mid-century modern Pinoy home—complete with wooden solihiya armchairs and a chandelier.

Visit Nono's at G/L U.P. Town Center, Katipunan Ave., Quezon City.

3. Three Sisters

Home-cooked Pinoy fare pairs well with Three Sisters' interiors done in the same Pinoy taste—wicker chairs and colorful artwork depicting rural slices of life set in a mid-century bungalow. A flight of stairs from the street takes you to the main dining hall.

There's also a dining area up the mezzanine that looks out onto West Capitol Drive (you can reserve this area for private functions). If you're feeling a bit whimsy, head to the pocket garden and dine under dainty umbrellas and fairy lights. Be sure to call for a reservation if you don't want to compete for tables with the working crowd in the area.

Visit Three Sisters at 136 West Capitol Dr., Kapitolyo, Pasig City.

4. Annam Noodle Bar

Oriental lanterns, machuka-tiled floors, and a laidback ambiance are just a few of the things you'll love in this Vietnamese restaurant. Annam hails from Singapore, so you're assured that that generous bowl of pho and plateful of banh mi are as authentic as they can get.

To best appreciate the lively ambiance of this modern Asian restaurant, drop in for dinner. After a scrumptious meal, head to the coffee station by the entrance and bring home a bag of coffee from Vietnam.

Visit Annam Noodle Bar at Unit 1880-4 G/L 1880 Bldg., Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City; 2/L Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila, Newport City, Pasay City.

5. Mitsuyado Sei-men

Get instantly transported to Japan when you step into this restaurant. Mitsuyado Sei-men is famous for tsukemen, a kind of ramen where you dip the noodles into your choice of sauce. Japanese lanterns lit up the ceiling, while vintage posters adorn the bare cement walls. There are also faux shop windows complete with signage, as well as a cart where you can dine at, all of which make for a pseudo-izakaya experience.

Visit these Mitsuyado Sei-men branches: Blue Bay walk, Macapagal Ave. cor. EDSA, Pasay City | 2/L Ayala Malls The 30th, 30 Meralco Ave., Ortigas, Pasig City | 22 Jupiter St., Bel-Air, Makati City | Venice Grand Canal, Upper McKinley Rd., McKinley Hill, Taguig City

6. Red Ginger

Red Ginger's fantastic ceiling design is very much IG-worthy—it might take you a while to decide on what to order because you'll be too busy gawking at the eye-catching architecture spanning the entire restaurant. Serving as perfect backdrop for the undulating woodwork on the ceiling is a lime-green wall with abstract art. Plant boxes teeming with lush greens obscure the adjacent casino area, so you won't get distracted by the blinking slot machine lights while you enjoy your Southeast Asian dishes.

Visit Red Ginger at The Shops at The Boulevard, City of Dreams Manila, Aseana Ave., Paranaque City.

7. Oasis Garden Cafe

Aside from world-famous theatrical performances, there's another reason to troop to Solaire Resort and Casino (that is, if you're not a fan of pachinko machines and card games): Oasis Garden Café. Surrounded by a variety of greens—from tall tropical trees that reaches up to the glass ceiling, to lush shrubs and delicate ferns and even exotic flowers—the place is really a must-visit.

One side also boasts a "wall" of interwoven wooden slats reminiscent of a giant basket. The café serves modern Pinoy dishes, but their desserts and tea and coffee selections are also a must-try if you want to veer away from the usual coffee shop crowd.

Visit Oasis Garden Cafe at Sky Tower, Solaire Resort and Casino, 1 Aseana Ave., Paranaque City.
