The Kapuso leading man lives in a low-rise residential building that his grandfather Enrique Gonzales built. After a few years of occupying the 300sqm penthouse, he asked architects Ria and Glen Malig of Gamaconstruct to turn it into a Modern Asian bachelor pad.

Located in the busy and fast-paced Quezon City, this home has a relaxing and calming exterior. Commissioned art pieces and collector’s items can be found throughout the home. To personalize the space, every nook and cranny has interesting details and unique touches.

House Façade With its slanted roofs, straight lines, and glass doors, the penthouse could easily be mistaken for a luxury Asian resort.
House Façade To complement the striking façade of the penthouse, mood lighting is used.
House Entrance Dingdong commissioned sculptor Agi Pagkatipunan to create a custom front-door with his initials, DD. This was executed with a woodframed steel door and D-shaped steel bar accents. The heavy doors open to a foyer furnished with abstract artwork, also by Pagkatipunan.
Living Room In the living room, a two-seater plush couch faces the television, while a pair of tufted side chairs and a wing chair complete the mix. A red ottoman takes the place of the usual coffee table. Recessed lights, seen throughout the house, amp up the drama. The wing chair and black area rug are both from Furnitalia, a high-end furniture store in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Bar More than wine and liquor bottles, Dingdong’s bar area features an impressive collection of 18-inch action figures. Eight wooden shelves allow for more prominent display of the collector’s items. On the left is another conversation piece: a Batman suit with its own special shelf.
Dining Room and Kitchen The modern design of the house is evident in the kitchen and dining area which has a drop ceiling, slatted dividers, and sleek appliances. The dining set has been with Dingdong for years.
Hallway to Bedroom Another interesting area of the house is near Dong’s bedroom. A painting by Carlo Saavedra occupies most of one wall, while a replica helmet of the Lord of the Rings villain, Sauron, is placed on top of a console table.
Powder Room In the powder room, distressed tiles become an ideal backdrop for a Lois Goff painting, a replica mask of Jason from Halloween, and replica of Freddie Kruger’s glove in Nightmare on Elm Street. A red Kartell La Boheme stool by Philippe Starck and backlit mirror complete the space.
Master Bedroom The master bedroom is a true mancave, with an inviting bed as the main focal point. A re-upholstered leather bed base and dramatic niches in dark finish emphasize the house’s masculine theme.
Master Bathroom In the master bathroom, three wooden shelves are mounted on top of the water closet. Sleek and modern fixtures echo the home’s overall look.
Dingdong Dingdong loves entertaining guests in his sprawling bachelor pad. The sizable gazebo features several seating areas.
Seating Area A moatlike water feature runs around parts of the entire house, including the seating area.
