Location: Bulacan

Type of Home: Two-Storey House

Style of Home: Modern Glamorous

It's difficult to believe that this sophisticated haven can be found right in the heart of Bulacan! The modern glamorous-style home is an unexpected find in the midst of traditional Filipino houses, thriving rice fields, and other nostalgic provincial sights.

The homeowner moved into this house to spend more time with her mother. Since the bungalow was too small to accommodate the couple and their relatives, they turned the place into a two-storey house with five bedrooms.

Living Area

The living area is furnished with a tufted black bench built by a local furniture maker. The old sofa was reupholstered with gray fabric from Divisoria.

Beneath these pieces is a black-and-white printed rug purchased at Ikea for only $99!

Brass Bar Cart

Even before the house was renovated, the owner already bought the first item for the place — a brass bar cart purchased for only P8,000 at Evangelista St., Bangkal, Makati.

Shoe Cabinet

Looking for an easy yet effective way to improve your home? Say no to shoes carelessly left near your front door! Invest in a shoe cabinet to hide and organize unsightly footwear!

Hanging above the shoe cabinet is a dainty wall mirror from SM Home.

Dining Area

The dining area is furnished with a glass-top dining table and cream-and-gray upholstered dining chairs made by a local furniture maker.

Wall Mirror

Behind the inviting dining set-up is a wall mirror with brass details from Our Home.

Crystal Chandelier

To complement the high ceiling of the dining area, the homeowner chose a unique spiral chandelier.

Kitchen

The owner explains that her mother has always dreamed of owning a big kitchen! To make this dream come true, she considered five different kitchen models before settling for this white one from Ideal Home at MC Home Depot.

Pendant Lamps

Hanging above the breakfast nook in the spacious white kitchen are these crystal pendant lamps.

Master Bedroom

The new master bedroom is furnished with a tufted black headboard also made by their trusted furniture maker. Beside the bed is a black side table adorned with a small globe from S&R. The couple uses this miniature model to mark the countries that they have been to.

Swinging TV Panel

A swinging TV panel makes it possible for the couple to watch their favorite shows and movies from the different areas of the master bedroom.

Console Table

You can make an empty space more interesting by simply bringing in an accent chair and a console table! You can also display some of your favorite prints and quotes.

Walk-in Closet

Just like many other women, the owner has always wanted to have her own private space for storing clothes and getting ready every morning. Her new walk-in closet has open shelves and a built-in dresser.

Walk-in Closet

The husband's clothes are neatly kept on two racks in this open cabinet. Beneath the racks is a row of his favorite shoes.
