Eclectic Style for a Family Home in Alabang

Homeowner Ina de Guzman pairs classic Mediterranean elements with rustic furniture and accessories in her two-storey house

In the mid-90s, Ina de Guzman found a sloped lot that would be the perfect setting for her future grand home. She built a house with Mediterranean elements: a terra cotta roof, white stucco walls, and arched entryways. The property is now filled with Balinese wood carvings, antique console tables with intricate moldings, and other antique finds from here and abroad

Living Area

Some of the most interesting finds in the living area include the a Baccarat crystal chandelier and a native Ifugao chair. The space is furnished with a sofa, loveseats, and a wooden coffee table

The wooden coffee table is adorned with a family of antique prancing horses.

Since the homeowner loves to entertain her family and friends, she filled the first floor of the family home with different seating areas. One of the seating areas is furnished with a sofa with a white slipcover, another wooden coffee table, and a rustic Balinese figure.

Tea Bags on the Table

Just like the homeowner, you can also display unexpected pieces in your personal space! This particular table is spruced up with tea bags that look nice and can also be used to make a satisfying drink.

This particular spot is especially inviting because of the molave daybed topped with colorful Asian-inspired pillows

Dining Area

To update the look of the dining area, the homeowner changed the walls from white to mustard. She complemented the warm hue with a chandelier from a junkyard and a dining set from Pampanga.

This gazebo near the swimming pool is furnished with vintage furniture from Auring's Antiques and Jo-Liza Arts and Antiques

Garden

Weathered wooden furniture pieces are the ideal choices for this spacious garden! The family and their guests can enjoy merienda in this sunny spot.

The bedroom has rich plum-hued walls and a wall mirror that looks like an antique window. The bed is made comfortable with silky pillows and a violet throw

A corner of the bedroom is completed with a pair of mauve wing chairs and a side table topped with books. The wall behind it is spruced up with a wall mirror with an ornate frame.

The homeowner's granddaughter Kayleigh can sleep in this sweet and dainty bedroom. If you look closely, you can see the Louis XIV chair covered with birds and flowers.
