Name: Daniel

Location: Makati City

Type of Home: 240sqm Condo with Three Bedrooms

Style of Home: Modern Contemporary

Much like other foreigners working in Manila, the homeowner only planned on living in a generic fully furnished apartment. However, when he found out that he could stay in the country for two more years, Daniel decided to turn his rented 240sqm condo into a personalized space that he could be proud to call home.

With the help of interior designers (and Real Living editors!) Dagny Madamba and Tala Singson, the once-standard unit now seems cozy, homey, and custom-made for the 31-year-old Australian and his occasional guests.

Living Area

Since the living area once looked bare and empty, the interior designers created a gallery wall with framed black-and-white photos. Beneath the pictures is an L-shaped sofa topped with mismatched throw pillows from SM Home, Robinsons Department Store, and Mandaue Foam.

The sisal rug underneath the sofa was purchased at Pottery Barn.

Home Office

Since Daniel works from home at least once a week, he can now use his old dining table as a personal desk. The home office is spruced up with a desk lamp from Mobler and accessories from Dapitan Arcade and Regalong Pambahay.

Shelf

According to Daniel, the interior designers displayed his personal things in an interesting and unexpected way. For example, they paired his colorful hardbound books with a paper mache horse, candles, and bottles on a sleek shelf from Mobler.

Accent Wall

We love the eye-catching print of the wallpaper from Shell Canvas! In front of the wall is a custom-made console table and wing chairs.

Dining Area

Since the homeowner loves to entertain guests, he wanted to have a beautiful dining area! The dining area is furnished with customized industrial-style lights and black-and-white tufted dining chairs from Urban Abode.

The dining area is completed with a gray free-standing bar from Crate & Barrel and a customized buffet table from Urban Abode.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is furnished with a fully upholstered headboard and a bed topped with black-and-gray pillows and sheets. On both sides of the bed are matching white tables adorned with black table lamps.

Facing the bed is an industrial-style floor lamp and white console table topped with a flat-screen TV leaning against a gray wall.

Guest Bedroom

To make the most of the guest bedroom, the interior designers furnished the space with a black work desk from Mandaue Foam and a wooden coat rack from Pioneer Center in Mandaluyong City.

Kiddie Room

One of the three bedrooms has been turned into a kiddie room that can also be used as a guest room! It is furnished with a gray crib, a red shelf filled with colorful toys, and a yellow study table paired with a red plastic chair.

One of the bedroom walls is spruced up with a charming world map and passport stamps! Beneath it is a gray-and-orange sofa bed topped with colorful pillows.
