Many homeowners purchase condo units that they could rent out to college students, young professionals, and small families. In the case of homeowner Nathaniel John, he also wanted the one-bedroom condo that he invested in to be stylish and attractive enough to appeal to future renters

To turn the bare 50sqm unit into a place perfect for Nathaniel's family and future renters, the homeowner hired interior designer Kristine Neri-Magturo. Since the bare space had unfinished floors and no walls, doors, and bathroom fixtures, Kristine had so much work to do. After renovating the property, she furnished the unit with furniture pieces especially built for this place

Living Area

How can you separate the areas in a small space? Many homeowners put up walls or dividers, but these can make the area seem smaller. You may want to try installing a floor-to-ceiling mirror or bringing out an area rug

In this living area, the interior designer used a wall-length mirror and a gray shag rug to define the space. She completed the area with a gray L-shaped rug, a wooden coffee table, and an entertainment wall

The coffee table is adorned with hardb0und books and white candles on silver candleholders.

Twigs in Vases

Kitchen and Dining Area

Since the 50sqm unit was completely bare, the interior designer had to install kitchen cabinets, backsplash, and other details. She chose white cabinets with no knobs for a clean and streamlined style

The space is completed with black, white, and gray mosaic tiles for the kitchen backsplash

The kitchen island separates the kitchen and dining area. It is used as a spot for preparing and enjoying meals. There are also hidden drawers and shelves on the other side.

The counter is adorned with cone-shaped drop lights and palmera leaves in a glass vase.

Dining Area

The dining area is furnished with a three-legged dining table with a clear glass top. The dining table is surrounded with export-quality dining chairs from Pampanga.

The interior designer chose gray and white tiles, white bathroom fixtures, and framed photographs for the bathroom.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has the same white walls and wooden furniture. An upholstered headboard, heavy taupe-colored curtains, and identical table lamps with glass bases make the space more sophisticated.

Home Office

To make the most of the master bedroom, you can consider creating your own home office! If you have a limited area, pick out a built-in desk and wall-mounted shelves to help you save on space.

Master Bathroom

For this master bathroom, the interior designer picked out a glass shower enclosure and polished gray tiles.
