Designer Pieces in a Toy Collector's Home
Modern, streamlined furnishings meet whimsical décor in this fun yet sophisticated space
Sometimes, the most conventional architectural design hides a modern and streamlined interior with touches of younger, more vibrant décor. A vinyl toy collector’s home is one such example where the exterior doesn’t exactly match the interiors.
The Mediterranean-style home was a gift to the homeowner by his mom, and as a compromise, he kept the structure as is on the outside, while keeping the interior design true to his young and playful personality. A love for film, along with a passion for vinyl toy collecting, come together within a sleekly designed space that follows a neutral palette that’s easy on the eyes.
Architect Paul Sia, designers Anthony and Joey Yupangco of Domani, and Florence Ko of Furnitalia collaborated into putting together this impressive bachelor’s pad that balances luxury and comfort with designer furniture, a colorful vinyl toy collection, and pop art pieces.
